This was a very nice little hotel on the outskirts of Oberstdorf overlooking the fields and mountains. Our bedroom was pleasant and comfortable, but the best thing was the restaurant which was superb. We ate there six evenings and the food was always excellent, as were the staff who were friendly, yet professional. The breakfasts were very good as well.

Two things we felt had misled us from the website. I had asked for a room with a bathtub, as it seemed that some rooms had baths but we only had a very small shower room. From a price list I saw, most rooms only had showers. Also on the website it said that the hotel had laundry facilities but when I asked, they said no, I would have to do any laundry in the town.

The breakfast was amazing! We liked that they allowed dogs and we were able to accomodate a family of 4 in one room.

We were blown away by the stunning view of the mountains and valley from the balcony of our south-facing room. The room itself was cozy, comfortable and well-maintained. Loved the stunning mountain views from the room and the location that was perfect to explore the beautiful city. , the staff was extremely friendly and attentive throughout our stay. A particular highlight was the varied and delicious breakfast buffet that we enjoyed every morning during our city break.

The bed in the room was a bit too soft and not very comfortable, which made it difficult for us to get a good night's sleep. the hotel restaurant was not open in the evenings, leaving us with limited options for dining.
